Paradigm Shifts

According to Josef Konvitz, Honorary Professor at the University of Glasgow and Chair of PASCAL International Observatory, "once or twice in a century, a major crisis provokes a paradigm shift". The Covid-19 crisis, a unique yet unresolved moment, has confronted us with a historic break between one period and another.

Paradigm renewals are necessary in order to regulate economic and social activity: these inaugurate a longer period of more stable development until they in turn lose their power. "A successful paradigm shift has helped Europe overcome barriers in the past. This story should inspire us today." - Peter, M. & Sarah, V.
